you know what? you call my friend a “n_gger”, i dont even give a fuck what happens to you. i dont want to see you in this scene. i dont want to see you at shows. you are who we write songs about. you are who we think about when we hate. radiohead, karma police over and over again in my head.
what a joke.
you are fucking pathetic and anyone that disagrees should put their white hood on too. i dont want your ticket money. i dont want your cd sales. id rather be poor and unknown.
i am angrier than i have been in a long time. hate upon hate upon hate.
thank god for my friends.
I understand the anger behind this post, but i cant say i condone travis' actions.
I hear n***** alot where i live (in the south), mostly from an african american male saying it to a fellow african american. the word is comonly used in rap/hip-hop music (by only african american males, of course. it's "racist" otherwise, i've noticed). i dont see anyone them telling them to put on a "white hood" (why is okay to use a racial slur if you are of that race, but not okay otherwise?). if you're going to start punching people for saying that travis, then i guess you better head on over to 50 Cent and a thousands of other music artists homes and start some trouble.
i've heard that the name-caller (another african american male) threw the first punch, and travis acted in "self-defense", but i honestly dont believe it. i expect more from a grown man. the man who used the slur was not worth all of this trouble, and violence should never be the answer. i dont CARE what he called him (even though if it had been a white guy i'm sure this would've been HUGE drama), travis shouldn't have reacted that way.
show some class, and grow up!!
racism, or anyother kind of hate is TERRIBLE. it's never ok.
but, Martin Luther King never used violence in his promotion of peace and equailty. dont you think people called him n***** thousands of times? he never reacted that way.
so thus, i'm disappointed in Pete's reaction. i know they are friends, but the same message goes for him too. you're a grown man. dont react to your friend's arrest by posting a blog. i'm sure he's shaking in his boots. *eyeroll* what is posting in your blog going to do? get out a message that it's only ok to say n***** in music?
you cant stop hate if you spread it.
